Development
These four programmes are the foundation of the game in Cambodia. None of them is open today. Each is being restarted under the federation's restructure. This page states where each one stands and what it will require — nothing more, because nothing more has been decided.
The programmes
The federation publishes the status of each programme rather than a prospectus it cannot yet honour. Where a course, a fee or a date is not listed below, it is because the federation has not set one.
Licensed coaches, trained referees and affiliated clubs. You cannot build a national team on a foundation that does not exist — so we build the foundation.
Development — federation mandate
Phase 02 — the restructure
Club affiliation reopened, coach and referee licensing restarted, and a published national selection route from youth to senior.
The full restructureCoach licensing is not running. It restarts under the restructure. Until it does, the federation holds no register of who is qualified to coach in Cambodia, and it will not imply otherwise.
What it will require
Officiating is not licensed either. A competition can only be trusted if its officials are trained, graded and accountable to the federation that appoints them.

The federation does not hold a current list of affiliated clubs. Affiliation reopens so that clubs are recognised, entered into national competition and counted on the public record.

No route from school and club basketball to a national youth team is published today. Publishing one — and selecting to it — is part of the restructure.

Course content, entry requirements, cost and dates are published before applications open. The federation does not announce a date it has not set.
The register
A federation should be able to say how many coaches it has licensed, how many officials it has registered and how many clubs are affiliated to it. Ours cannot. Rather than publish an estimate, we publish nothing and say why.

Each figure appears here when the register behind it exists and is accurate. No number on this website is an estimate.
Safeguarding
Most of the people these programmes are built for are under eighteen. That sets a standard the federation must meet before it runs a single youth session, not after.
A safeguarding policy will be published
The federation will publish its safeguarding policy, and every programme on this page will be run to it. No youth programme opens ahead of that policy.
Minors' personal details are never published
No name, age, date of birth, photograph, address or contact number of any player under eighteen is published on this website or released by the federation.
Adults working with young players are accountable
Coaches, officials and club staff in youth programmes will be registered with the federation and answerable to it.
Concerns can be raised directly
Any concern about the welfare of a young player can be sent to the federation at info@cbfkh.com.

Coaches, referees, clubs and schools can register their interest now. The federation will contact you as each programme opens — in the order set out in the restructure.
